PRIVATE CLASS 

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Date: Ongoing Tuesday 16:30H

​

Restorative Yoga is the practice of holding poses longer than usual while being supported by props. Props include folded blankets, bolsters of various sizes, yoga straps, blocks and eye pillows. Restorative yoga invites the student to become wonderfully relaxed and calm all while gently moving the spine in various positions such as forward bends, backbends and twists. The soothing benefits are for both the body and the mind.

GROUP CLASS 

GENTLE YOGA WITH LIGHT WEIGHTS, FULL BODY CONDITIONING

Date: Ongoing Wednesday 17H

This class begins with a warm stretching of the legs, hips and back. We then move to standing poses and incorporate light weights into the sequence for strength building and toning. There is a lot of cuing of alignment for safety and a chair is encouraged if needed for extra balance support. Balance and posture are also important components of our practice. The class ends with a restorative pose for a deeper relaxation.

PRIVATE CLASS

INCREASE YOUR BONE DENSITY!

Date: Ongoing Wednesday 18:15H

This class will focus on yoga for those with osteoporosis or osteopenia to strengthen normal and weakened bones. Osteoporosis, the loss of bone density, is a natural part of the aging process, but when too much bone is lost the bones become weak and susceptible to fractures or breaks. Osteoporosis can be treated through regular weight bearing exercise such as Yoga. Yoga helps to stimulate bone strengthening for the whole body while being low-impact. This class teaches very safe yoga poses that are beneficial for your bones. Light weights are optional.

PRIVATE CLASS 

VINYASA SEQUENCE

Date: Ongoing Thursday 18H

This Vinyasa class begins with a short centering breath and teaches all the basic yoga poses with an in-depth attention to alignment. These poses are creatively linked with the breath in a flowing sequence. The class includes a series of balance, lengthening and strengthening poses to build stamina and confidence and an overall well-being. This private class allows the student to deepen her practice at her own pace. We may propose a yoga Nidra, meditation or Chakra alignment to complete your session.

The Overcome Program helps us to overcome stress and anxiety in our lives. The Program is both educational and experiential. The educational component is taught with short audiovisual videos and the experiential segments are breathing techniques and yoga poses taught by us.  The Overcome Program teaches us simple and effective yoga therapy techniques that help us to either calm down when feeling agitated or pick ourselves up when feeling down. For each category, empowering self-regulating tools specific to that category are taught for managing and alleviating difficult moments in our lives.
